The Vancouver Police Museum and Archives opened in 1986 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vancouver Police Department. The building where the museum is located was built in 1932 for Vancouver’s Coroner’s Services. For several decades, it housed the city’s Coroner’s Courtroom, morgue, autopsy room, and forensic laboratory.
